You might be wondering how I got here. Well, I’ve always had a knack for helping people untangle their life’s messes. After juggling this gig part-time for a few years, I finally took the plunge into full-time counseling in January 2025. No regrets! I’m also a Certified Christian Counselor, thanks to the folks at the National Association of Christian Counselors. Education is my jam, and I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Alabama A&M University, plus an Educational Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (yes, I’ve been in school long enough to have my own parking spot)! Throughout my career, I’ve dipped my toes in various mental health settings, including community mental health and substance abuse. Now, let's get personal!! I’m originally from "The Delta" of Mississippi, specifically a tiny rural town called Mound Bayou. I grew up living the simple, agricultural life, as my dad was (and still is) a farmer. So, if you ever need tips on sweet potatoes, wheat, or soy beans, I’m your girl! What really fuels me is working with people from all backgrounds, no matter their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I believe in creating a safe space for everyone; which is why I offer both secular and traditional counseling, along with Christian and faith-based options.
